What do you think about the kid in Tucson, AZ who is being sent back to Mexico for having pot in his bag?

Some are happy to be rid of the illegals, but this seems like severe treatment and all the family must now be deported. I don’t really know how to feel about this. Were the people generally law abiding? Were the parents employed and eligible for legal status? What are your thoughts and feelings?
The kid, and possibly his siblings, could be U.S. citizens.
